Hike through history as we pass the old village of Ta’ab where you can see the remains of the old village and stone houses built into the mountains. Hike through the lush farms and under the palms trees along the falaj (the traditional water system) which is still used to water the plantation until we reach the Wadi Ta’ab spring. Return the same path back to the cars.
Al Amarat
Please arrive by 6am for 6.30am departure
We will meet at Al Amarat Meeting Point at 6am. Grab a quick coffee and breakfast until everyone arrives then leaving at 6.30am from meeting point.
Head to Fins and offroad along the mountains in Fins to reach the start point of the hike. The off-road drive requires a strong 4×4 car. At the hike start point, the guides will brief you about the trail. Begin the trail which is considered an easy hike and suitable for children over 12.
Depending on the speed of the group, the hike should take around 3-4 hours to complete. We return to Muscat and stop in Al Amarat for a traditional local lunch before returning to the meeting point.
