Are you looking for the ultimate canyoning experience and challenge? Starting the hike from the elevation of 1900 meters, we hike down the canyon for about two to three hours until we reach the first abseil. This adventure is unique in that it includes nearly 10 abseils that range in various heights – from 10 meters up to 60 meters! Passing by (and abseiling down) spectacular waterfalls, the wadi also includes swimming for short to medium distances. The last part of the adventure is a hike of two to three hours to reach Fir village in Tanuf. Please note: This is a difficult canyon that requires a high level of physical fitness.
Burj Al Sahwa
Please arrive by 5.00pm for a 5.30pm departure
We will gather at 5pm at the meeting point in Burj Al Sahwa. Once the group arrives we will move off to Jebel Akhdar to reach our overnight camp spot at the start of the canyon trail. Set up camp and enjoy your BBQ dinner.
Starting before sunrise, the team will pack up the camp site and assist you in preparing for the adventure. Make sure to bring a breakfast that will fuel you for today’s big adventure. After breakfast, begin the canyoning adventure which is expected to last 13-15 hours. After the adventure, enjoy a well deserved dinner before heading back to the meeting point in Muscat.
