Hike into the wadi and scramble to reach the first abseil of 45 meters followed shortly by another abseil of 42 meters. Traverse the canyon by swimming through freshwater pools and jumping into pools from various heights. Be amazed by the unique geological formations of the canyon and the picturesque scenery along the way featuring numerous waterfalls. The greatest challenge of the canyon is the exit which is a 350-meter steep climb.
Al Amarat
Please arrive by 5.30am for a 6am departure
Gather at the meeting point at 5.30am in Al Amarat (Maha Petrol Station) where you have the option to grab yourself a cup of tea or coffee and a quick breakfast. At 6am we leave the location and drive towards Ta’ab.
Upon reaching the start point, the team will assist in preparing you for your adventure and give you your harness, life jacket and helmet. You will be briefed about the adventure and what to expect in this canyon. Expected time in the canyon is around 6-8 hours depending on group pace.
After the challenging climb out of the canyon, take the opportunity to briefly rest, and change into dry clothes before heading back down the mountain to Muscat. On the way, stop for a well deserved local meal with the team before returning to meeting point.
