We’ll meet at 10 AM at CYR Adventures store located in the heart of Muscat, in Al Khuwair Square. If you are missing any adventure items, you may also pick up any adventure essentials before your trip commences. By 10.30 AM, we will depart from the meeting point and drive towards Balad Sayt for an afternoon tour around this lush village nestled in the mountains. Our overnight will be in a hotel in Balad Sayt (link here), a local hotel which overlooks the terraces and farms of Balad Sayt.
Prepare for your canyoning adventure today with the correct clothing. We recommend sports leggings, a pair of shorts and a long sleeved fast drying top. Enjoy your breakfast and coffee with the spectacular surrounding mountain view. After breakfast, the adventure guides will give you a briefing about the upcoming canyon adventure and assist you in getting your canyoning gear on. Transfer to the canyon entrance point by off road cars then enter the canyon to start the adrenaline filled day with swimming, abseiling (10-15 meters), jumping and sliding into the canyon pools. Swim through a cave and reach the final part of the canyon. Climb and hike around rocks to reach the exit of the canyon. The adventure is expected to last around 6-8 hours.

Our morning drive takes us from the hotel to the hiking start point known as the 3 village hike. This hike takes you through the old mountain villages of Jebel Akhdar and show off the traditional life of the Omani mountain folk. Enjoy the panoramic views of Jebel Akhdar and the famous terraces and falaj (What is a falaj?). Our hike leads us to the Via Ferrata/Ziplining adventure start point. Your adventure guides will help you gear up and brief you on what to expect today. Challenge yourself with this unforgettable experience. After a traditional local lunch, we will return to Muscat and expect to reach our meeting point around 6.30-7.00pm. Please note times may vary throughout the adventure depending on the size and pace of group.
